If it’s seafood you’re after, then you MUST go to George’s in Broadbeach (27 Victoria Avenue). They serve other food too (if you’re not into seafood). The staff are great and the food is brilliant.

Another one I love is Carat in the Phoenician Complex (Surf Parade, Broadbeach). It’s a Thai restaurant, and the food is yum. I also loved Soprano (Surf Parade) and De Vinci’s (opposite in the Aria building) in Broadbeach.

Sorry, I can’t recommend anything in Surfers. Don’t usually spend time further north than Broadbeach.

EDIT: I’d also recommend any of the Surf Life-saving Clubs down the coast. I’ve yet to have a bad feed at a SLSC.

The best and really the only way to start a restaurant in Las Vegas or anywhere is by finding one for sale, that is reasonable and then buying it. All your license’s are in hand that you need when you buy an existing business (restaurant, liquor, tobacco, etc…). In certain towns to limit the growth on demand, they only issue out so many licenses of the categories I have listed above. Whoever you buy the place from will have the information on the sales tax id. Good luck. What kind of place are you opening, Italian, Mexican, American, French etc..?

I already have some ideas where to take them for fun thanks to Yahoo answers I posted earlier. Now it’s time to look for good restaurants or buffets to take them to.

Almost evey hotel has a buffet table so you have plenty of choices. For me, the Golden Nugget was the best of them all. When we went there was a 40 minute wait to get in. There was a good reason for all that wait, the food was great and the price was even better. Good luck.
