The Wynn has by far the best buffet in Vegas. They have everything you can think of, and it is quality food, not just quantity.

If you need a reason to go to the Wynn, listen to this. You feel like you are dining in an indoor garden courtyard in a king's palace, all while eating crab legs that are already cracked so there is no hassle while eating them. Finish it off with a toasted marshmellow dipped in chocolate and sprinkled with M&Ms

Go to the Wynn's buffet lol

The buffets at Paris and Rio are both very good. MGM has a Rainforest Cafe, and there is a Planet Hollywood restaurant and Cheesecake Factory in the Forum Shops at Caesars. There is also a great dinner show at Excalibur - the Tournament of the Kings.

Texas Station buffet is great! It's has food from all around the world and a dessert table for your kids. That or the Rain Forest Cafe in the MGM Grand. My aunt took me there for my birthday and I absolutely loved it because it's so colorful

Las Vegas - buffet & restaurant info and ratings
http://www.lasvegasadvisor.com/restandbuff.cfm

I agree with "Banana" ..IMO the Orleans lunch buffet is the "best value" especially for a family. Under 3YO eat free, 4-7YO get $ 3 off of the regular $ 8.99 and the adults would get $ 1 off each with a players club card. The Gold Coast is nearly as good. Main Street Station has our other fav lunch buffet, so if you go downtown. And MSS is just a cool place to visit, it's almost like a museum, they have antiques, artifacts and artwork everywhere. Pick up a brochure at the front desk for info.

For dinner we like the Las Vegas Hilton, it's a smaller buffet, but excellent food and if you like wine with dinner it's complimentary up to 12YO get a discount at the LVH. Both your kids would get discounts at the Planet Hollywood buffet as well. And saving the best(value) dinner buffet for last M Resort, the kids won't get a discount, but this is an awesome spread.

If you're seafood lovers, the Fremont has a seafood buffet twice a week, and it's a heck of a bargain.

M Resort, The Orleans & Gold Coast are all off the strip but each has a free shuttle to/from the strip

The steak dinner special at Ellis Island and the prime rib dinner special(after 4pm) at Main Street Station are two of our favorite "meal deals"

The best meal deals are referred to as "Graveyard Specials"
